A recent bug have been spotted in one of the most reliable iOS app FaceTime, but today it will not be reliable anymore. This bug let you
hear voice and even show video even if the other-end user have received or allowed the call.
On January 20, Twitter user @MGT7500 reported that their "teen found a major security flaw in Apple’s new iOS. He can listen in to your iPhone/iPad without your approval."
Later, on January 28, the same Twitter user claimed that the reported flaw was the Group Face-time bug that, according to a screenshot of an email sent to Apple, "allows users to listen in on other users without their permission." If that's the case, Apple may have been aware of the flaw for over a week, before taking the Group Face-time feature offline to protect users.
A video, purportedly sent to Apple on Jan. 23 by the teen and his mom, shows how the bug is triggered.
My teen found a major security flaw in Apple’s new iOS. He can listen in to your iPhone/iPad without your approval. I have video. Submitted bug report to @AppleSupport...waiting to hear back to provide details. Scary stuff! #apple #bugreport @foxnews— MGT7 (@MGT7500) January 21, 2019
This bug is on the 12.1 or later versions of iOS and Apple has made sure they will fix it in the next update.
Naturally, this poses a pretty big privacy problem as you can essentially listen in on any iOS user, although it still rings like normal, so you can’t be 100% covert about it. Nevertheless, there is no indication on the recipient’s side that you could hear any of their audio. There’s a second part to this which can expose video too

Let's hope Apple will fix it ASAP and it will never happen again or it will be a problem for iPhone Users, although i'm an Android User 😉
